Goodland Dairy Services offers a professional cattle foot trimming service in the Gloucestershire area and beyond. Paul Goodland is a Category 1 foot trimmer with over 25 years experience, and a genuine love for his work. He is qualified in the 'Dutch Method', and also well versed in curative foot trimming methods. Paul is a committee member of the National Association of Cattle Foot Trimmers.
Put simply, a foot trimmer will save dairy farmers money in the long term. Regular trimming is essential in preventing lameness and maintaining the health of cattle. Moreover, it can significantly prolong the active life, and therefore value, of a herd.
Farmers will recognise the benefit of an animal being mobile at the end of its productive life, not only saving them the cost of having the animal transported from the farm, but also giving it a value at the end of its working days. If it is still mobile, it still has a value.

As a lad, Paul attended Brymore School of Agriculture, later moving on to Agricultural College, where he qualified in dairy cattle management. He spent several years working within the dairy and farming industries, where he built up a wealth of experience. Most recently, Paul spent many years working in the field of animal welfare, before
concentrating full-time on what he loves most - foot trimming.
Paul is a category 1 member of the NACFT. He also sits on the NACFT committee, and is proud to be part of the consultative process that has lead to the anticipated introduction of a UK certificate of competence, which aims to provide a BCVA recognised minimum standard.
