What about bio security?

Bio security is very important to Goodland Dairy Services, and Paul always arrives with fully cleaned and checked equipment and aparatus.

Do you trim bulls too?

Yes, gladly...!! In fact, Paul's equipment is more than capable for use with bulls of any size.

Is there a minimum or maximum number of animals you will trim?

No. No job is too big or too small! At the present time, Goodland Dairy Services does not charge for travel expenses, therefore jobs that involve travelling longer distances should be reflected by the size of the job.

What area is covered?

Paul is based in Gloucestershire but will happily travel beyond this area. As stated above, the size of the job (number of animals) should be a fair reflection of the distance Paul has to travel.

How often is trimming necessary in cattle?

It is usually recommended that trimming take place at least once every lactation period. Paul finds the most effective method is to perform a 'drying off trim' 8-10 weeks before the end of this period. This will usually provide around 150 days trouble free.

How long does the process usually take?

Goodland Dairy Services will never sacrifice quality for speed, so the time taken will depend on how many cattle need trimming and the initial condition of their feet. A more detailed estimate will usually be clear after an initial consultation with Paul.
